A body in movement is a body in balance.

Dr. Hartman is a Licensed Body Mapping Educator and Training Mentor with the Association for Body Mapping Education and a Licensed Franklin Method Educator. Body Mapping is the Process of refining, correcting, and embodying ones neuronal representation of their anatomical structures. Based on Neurocognitive Imagery, The Franklin Method Is the use of metaphorical mental imagery to support the development of healthy physical function, strength, mobility, and coordination. When used together, Body Mapping and the Franklin Method can encourage all musicians to have graceful and efficient movement while engaging in music making.

“What Every Musician Needs to Know About the Body” is a course that consists of six sections: Introduction to Body Mapping, The Six Places of Balance, The Arms, Breathing, The Legs in Movement, and a Body Mapping Masterclass. This course serves as the foundation for the types of information that will be learned and refined through Body Mapping.
